Safeguarding
Keeping everyone safe
Safeguarding sits underneath everything Knights does — especially Drama Knights.
Draft policy. This is interim wording while Knights completes its formal policies and registration. If you need a definitive answer in the meantime, email hello@knights.events.
Our commitment
Every child and vulnerable person taking part in a Knights activity has the right to feel safe, respected and listened to. Safeguarding is designed into our sessions, not bolted on.
Staff and checks
All staff and regular volunteers working with children hold enhanced DBS checks, and children's sessions always run with appropriate adult-to-child ratios and a trained first aider present.
Collection and session procedures
Children are signed in and out of every session, and are only released to adults named by their parent or carer. Photography and video at children's sessions follow explicit written consent from parents.
Raising a concern
If you have a safeguarding concern about any Knights activity, contact our designated safeguarding lead by email — marked 'Safeguarding' — and it will be treated seriously, promptly and confidentially. If a child is in immediate danger, always call 999 first.
